Brief Answer:
Treatment is fine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting your query.

Your doctor has started with an antibiotic and anti allergy tablets. Very much typical treatment. If it is viral infection, antibiotics are not needed. They are indicated only in bacterial infection.

Your symptoms are suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection. In practice I have seen not a good response for Cefixime ( Antibiotic prescribed by your doctor) but a better alternative is Levofloxacin . If you have already started antibiotics then no need to change but if not yet started ask your doctor for prescription of levofloxacin .

Any clarification feel free to ask .

Regards.
