Suggest Treatment For Fever, Headache And Symptoms Of Febrile Convulsions

Question: My 2 1/2 year old has a fever around 101.5 she is complaining of a headache but no rash or stiffness but her body is jumping while she is sleeping. Which is all she is doing is sleeping.

I have gone through the problem. What worries me is that high fever could trigger febrile convulsions which could manifest as movement of various parts of the body. Your daughter could be having such episodes of seizure. The increased sleeping also worries me. I would suggest that without delay you to visit the emergency department of a hospital with pediatric facilities.

In the meantime you need to keep the temperature in control by use of paracetamol/tylenol/acetaminophen.
