Suggest Treatment For Fever, High BP And Profuse Sweating
Your symptoms seem to be related to psychological stress
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, your symptoms seem to be related to psychological and physical stress.
I would like to explain that a gastrointestinal infection ( including food intoxication ) has really low chances (almost 0%) to be transmitted through sexual ways.
A sexual intercourse can cause sexually transmitted diseases but not a gastrointestinal infection.
From the other hand this clinical scenario doesn't seem to be related to any infection.
The fact that your blood test, ECG and chest x ray have resulted normal is very reassuring that nothing serious is happening with you.
I recommend monitoring your blood pressure regularly and avoid psychological and physical stress for the next days.
Hope to have been helpful !
I am at your disposal for further questions!
Greetings! Dr. Iliri
You need to ask medical attention to a specialized toxicology center.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again!
Ashwaghandha is a herbal supplement with very extensive pharmacological effects, especially on central nervous system (it acts by inhibiting acetyl cholinesterase, affecting so cholinergic neurotransmission; also dopaminergic, adrenergic, serotoninergic gabaergic transimssions as well.
So, using such a compound (though it may have several beneficial effects), could yield numerous side effects (especially when an overdose comes to scene).
At that point (centrally mediated respiratory complications), i would recommend to immediately seek specialized medical assistance in a toxicology center, as the treatment remains symptomatology related.
A comprehensive evaluation should be made, including special blood level measurements of Ashwaghandha compounds concentration, and closely monitoring vital parameters.
Facing respective symptomatology and lab results, the medical staff would decide the right therapy (cholinergic syndrome, or serotoninergic, dopaminergic, etc).
I strongly recommend to run to a Toxicology center for further evaluations.
I discourage you from continuing on such a therapy with so many unpredictable side effects.
You need to discuss with a neurologist/psychiatrist for a safer therapeutic alternative (respective to your primary health disorders).
Best regards,
Dr. Iliri
Many types of antidepressants are effective in chronic fatigue syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I understand your concern and I would like to explain that Paxil acts by increasing serotonine levels in your brain cells by modifying in a permanent way the cell receptors.
So if continued for a proper period of time and if stopped slowly, its interruption doesn't usually cause relapses of the symptoms.
There are a lot of other antidepressants (like doluxetine, venlafaxine, sertraline, etc), which can be used in chronic fatigue syndrome if this therapy shows to be ineffective.
There is not a specific therapy.
They all act by increasing the brain levels of different neurotransmitters (like serotonin, acetilcholine, dopamine or adrenaline and noradrenaline) causing stimulation of the cells in different regions of the brain, which are responsible for this clinical scenario.
As long as Paxil is showing good effects on you, I recommend continuing it. This treatment may be needed to go on for months.
I advise consulting with your attending physician on the above issues.
I would also advise a healthy diet which is essential for a healthy mind and avoiding alcohol and caffeine.
Hope to have been of help!
Best regards!

Nerve conduction studies are needed to evaluate the damage
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
A peripheral nerve damage caused by a vitamin deficiency or a drug depends on the period of the drug intake or vitamin deficiency.
Usually if the drug is stopped or vitamin supplements are taken the damages are reversible.
If a long period is left without any interventions, the nerve damages can become irreversible.
Nerve conduction studies(electroneurography) are needed to evaluate the nerve damage and the possibility of damage reversal.
