Suggest Treatment For Fever In An Infant

Question: Hi,
I have 1.3 years old baby.On 26th,he fell down from sofa and i observer he has high fever from this morning.Could you please recommend the good medication for it.During vaccination i use to give babygestic,can i follow the same?Any other suggestions?

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Now we are having changing season and this season is for flaring of lot of viral infections leading to such high grade fever.
Probably the baby is suffering with some viral fever,Syrup paracetamol @ 15 mg per kg can be started 4 to 6 hourly basis. (babygesic syrup, calpol syrup, crocin syrup etc).
Tap water sponging thoroughly and repeatedly when required should also be considered.
Plenty of fluids intake to be encouraged
If any other added symptoms arise like (running nose, cough, vomiting, pain in abdomen, loose stools etc), then please feel free for further clarification.
