My daughter has came up with fever and has swelling on the neck under the ear and the doctor has given her curam 312.5mg /5 ml. Now she is starting getting rashes On legs . The doctor thinks it is from

I am sorry to hear about your daughter is not well. Fever along with sore throat in children of this age is usually caused due to certain viral infections although certain bacteria could be involved as well. It does not usually need to be treated with antibiotics and irrespective of the use of antibiotics, such infections can last for 5-10 days. Curam contains amoxycillin which is an antibiotic and if the infection is viral (caused by a virus called Epstein Barr Virus resulting in a condition called infectious mononucleosis), it could give the known side effect of rashes. I would insist you to stop the antibiotic and to give her some antiallergic like cetirizine (available over the counter).
The infection in her ear could be an association with the throat infection but is unlikely to be the cause of the rashes. However, certain viral infections are known to be associated with rashes.
