Suggest Treatment For Fever When Suffering From Tonsillitis Infection

Question: my brother has got tonsils and has got high fever 4.5 since 2 days .dr has given below tablets.plz suggest what needs to be done.he had got fever before also till now no blood test done

Thanks for the query

Tab Clavum is the right medication for tonsils. I prescribe it twice daily for 5 days but there are doctors who give it three times a day. Tab Paracetamol is for the fever and it can be taken three times daily.

Tab Azithromycin and also Anti malarial tablet has been prescribed which is not required for tonsillitis infection.

Also
1. Avoid milk, milk products and smoking
2. Eat and drink only warm food items
3. Avoid oily and spicy food items
4. Gargle with betadine gargles three times day
5.Drink only warm water
6. Keep yourself warm
