Question: I work at
Walgreen's here in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX and have gotten a flu shot. For the 5 days a week that I work I am exposed to really sick people. I am running a fever with mucus and a cough spitting up mucous and some pain chest. I am only 52 and have not gotten the pneumonia shot but have Celiac Disease with a compromised immune system

Hi,

"As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a physical examination by your Doctor [Pulmologist] and to confirm exact pathology do few investigations like -[CBC with differential, Chest X-ray, Sputum culture]

2)Discuss about prescription antibiotics and OTC cough syrup if a bacterial infection is found.

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this-

1)Try to avoid cigarette smoke.

2)Get vaccinated for flu and pneumonia.

3)Try to wash your hands. To reduce your risk of catching a viral infection, wash your hands frequently and get in the habit of using hand sanitizers.

4)Always wear a surgical mask whenever you go outside.
