Brief Answer: Antibiotics, steroids, bronchodilator inhaler. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. The symptoms you describe suggest you are having a flare up of your COPD. You are correct to start your azithromycin and a short course of your steroids would be advisable. In addition, you may benefit from a bronchodilator inhaler. If this is not effective then a nebulized form of the drug may help. I suggest you see your doctor for these drugs as soon as is possible. If you are a smoker then a reduction would help you. I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB FRCA
