Suggest Treatment For Flatulence And BP Of 172/81
BP not controlled
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I will address your issues one at a time. Please let me know if you have further questions.
1) Blood pressure- The recommended blood pressure is less than 120/80 so you have a long way to go to get to optimal control. You need to work with your doctor in optimizing your medications. The other things you can do to help get your BP down are losing weight if you are overweight, regular exercise (walking is fine but it needs to be every day, start at 5 minutes a day and work up to 30-60 minutes a day), get rid of all salt and processed foods, no alcohol, no tobacco and minimal caffeine.
2) gassy stomach-It would be good to add a daily probiotic like Align. Next try getting rid of specific foods to see if this helps. Start with getting rid of dairy. If that does not do it try getting rid of fried foods then grains. If eliminating certain foods does not work you may need to see a gastroenterologist
3) Full head- I assume you mean congestion. Congestion can be caused by allergies or infections. If it is fairly frequent it is most likely allergies. Try first a non-sedating antihistamine like loratadine. Avoid decongestants since they can increase your blood pressure. Next try a nasal saline used frequently during the day. If the combination of those two do not work, next add a nasal steroid like flonase.
I hope this is helpful to you
