Suggest Treatment For Fluid Filled Blister After Injury
Location of bump? Is this a head trauma?
Detailed Answer:
If there is a head trauma involved and there is a large swelling then, I would recommend going to an emergency room right now. You can put a bag of crushed ice or frozen vegetable packs on the injury but you should get that looked at before other complications develop.
If this on the face or involving the orbital region (eye/cheek/jaw) then, again she will need to have a fracture ruled out and will therefore, need at least an X-ray.
If this bump is located somewhere else then, although it may not be as severe an injury as if it were the head- still there could be a fracture or other significant injury and/or accumulation of blood that should be seen by a medical professional sooner rather than later. In that instance, I might still call 911 and have them arrive so that they may immobilize the limb with a splint or sling and then, you can go to an emergency room on your own if you'd like.
