Suggest Treatment For Focal Dystonia

Question: Hi I have focal dystonia in the Left trapezius due to severe multi-level facet joint degenerative change. I was told by a Pain Management Specialist that there were only two things for it 1. Botox 2. Patches. He recommended me to the QEH but unfortunately there is a 2 months waiting period. I am using Versatis patches which help a little but I am trying to find out where I could have this botox done.

EMG guidance needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Botox injections about focal dystonia are recommended to be done under EMG guidance to avoid affection of normal muscles, so, you need to consult a Neurologist skilled in neurophysiology.
