Question: hi, I am very large, obese would be the right word. I am going to attach picture of my leg, it actually the bavk of it, just above the knee. do you know what this is, and if it requires antibiotics. what is the name of the antibiotic. thank you for your help.

I have read your query and understood your concern.
I have seen the attached pic also. Thanks for the same.

I could appreciate multiple red colored bumps with inflammation over the part.
It seems that you have been suffering from folliculitis.
I would like to advise you blood sugar levels both fasting and post prandial to look for associated diabetes mellitus if present.

I usually advise my such patients to take oral antibiotics like combination of amoxicillin and cloxacillin for full antibacterial coverage.
For topical application, you may use mupirocin 2 % cream twice daily over the lesions.
