Suggest Treatment For Fracture On The Knee Bone And Ankles
Question: I was in a cast for fracturing my left knee bone and ankle. Prior to an accident I had a bump from a fall on my shin bone. After starting to exercise to gain strength and muscle I find another bump on the shin bone on the left side of the shin bone on my left leg. Basically two bumps about a 1/2 inch apart. They are not painful, but I am wondering what they are? Are they bone spurs on the shin, something that might have been related to the cast (they are in the area the top of the cast hit), not sure what to call them if anything can be done about them?
Brief Answer:
New bone, which will eventually take on the shape of your original bone.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Painless bump that you feel at shin might be the new bone, which will eventually take on the shape of your original bone.
Do not worry. Continue doing exercises to improve muscle strength, joint mobility and balance.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more concern.
Warm Regards.

The bone that has the bumps is Not the bone that was fractured. I do not think you understood my question. The bumps are not on the bone that was fractured. They are on another bone of my left leg. One bump had been there on the shin which was not fractured before the fracture, and then after the accident I discovered another bump on my shin. Once again, the shin was not fractured or ever injured to my knowledge. So that is why I am asking the question: what tare he painless little bumps and seem to be pointed little bumps on the bone about 1/2 inch apart, any they seem to be about 1/4 inch across each. Please advise.
Brief Answer:
Get the X-ray of area affected done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam,
It could be bone spur or growths from underlying connective tissue .I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
If you wish, You can upload the x-ray image so that I can help you in better ways.
