Suggest Treatment For Frequent Cold And Infection

We tried Vitamine D and multivitamine tablets twice. First time it was very effective but this time looks ineffective.
We also tried shifting sleeping location from bedroom to drawing room to eliminate moisture factor. And used freshly washed bedsheets and blankets to eliminate dust factor.
I am looking for suggestions of lab tests and recommendations.
Thank you
need further investigations as well as clinical evaluation..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern for your wife,
First of all, please note that Vitamin D supplementation is only advisable if clinically symptomatic and found deficient after proper lab investigation..
You should get her investigated for any underlying allergic etiology in the first place along with few other relevant investigations in this context followed by a Clinical Evaluation by either an Internal Medicine Specialist/ an ENT-specialist/ a Pulmonologist (whomever is easily accessible for you)..
Investigations i.e. CBC, ESR, Peripheral Blood smear, Absolute Eosinophil count, Serum Electrolytes, Vit D3 level, Thyroid profile, Chest X-ray along with a comprehensive allergic panel check-up should be done..Please get her clinically evaluated along with(specially to rule out any Deviated nasal septum, sinusitis, allergic bronchitis etc.).. Also past history of any child-hood asthma, persistent chronic cough, tonsillitis, any history of significant past medical ailments will be necessary to find out..
Shifting the sleeping area is a good idea, but installing a proper Air purifier is much more effective (as it not only controls the humidity, but also filters the common pathogens out)..
Management will be based on the findings and after examining her clinically, so please plan accordingly..
Let me know if there's any further queries..
Take Care
Kind Regards
