Suggest Treatment For Frequent Diarrhea When WBC Count Is 14500
Brief Answer:
Please continue the medicine
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
A total WBC count of 14500 in a 3 year old could indicate an infection and cefixime is right to be given. Please complete the course of twice a day for 5 days. When you start any antibiotic, you should complete the course in order to prevent development of antibiotic resistance.
Hope that helps.

Is green and water stools almost 5 times in the night is the cefixime effect or adverse reaction of the medicine.
What should I use for the stools?

Brief Answer:
ORS needs to be given. Give curd. Continue antibiotic.

Thanks for writing back.
Green stools are not really a cause of concern. It is caused due to rapid transit of fecal matter through the large intestines where the bile pigments do not get adequate time to get converted to the yellow pigments that colours the stool. Loss of water and salts due to the frequency of stools can cause dehydration. Hence giving ORS (oral rehydration solution) would be the mainstay of treatment. The antibiotic needs to be continued even though it can kill the normal bacteria of our intestines and can contribute to the diarrhoea. But it can be controlled with intake of plenty of curd/yogurt which contains plenty of beneficial bacteria. You need not worry about the frequency of passage of stools. It would get controlled soon. Till then give ORS.
Hope that helps.
