Brief Answer:
Need details on her symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I went through your query and understood your concerns.

Headaches are extremely common - most people have a headache at some time in their life. Most headaches disappear on their own (with a little time) or with the help of mild pain relievers.

I need few more details about your mom's headache to help her in a better way.
Since how long is she suffering from this?
Any aggravating or reliving factors?
Is her pain responding to usual pain medications like paracetamol?
Does Watching TV, reading news paper increases her pain?
Is she using any spectacles?
Is it work related or lifestyle related Headache?
Whether it is bilateral or unilateral??

since brain has no pain receptors, thus headache is commonly due to pathology in pain sensitive structures around the brain. Going by her Age the most common headache around this age group is "tension headache" due to muscle tightness [feeling of tight band] and is caused due to prolonged Tension like Stress, Anxiety, Depression or head injury. Other possible cause would be eye power problems, continuous strain results in headache.

Get beck to me with these details.

regards
