Suggest Treatment For Frequent Infections In A 6 Year Old
He may be allergic to something in the environment!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this recurrent flu that your child has. The most common cause of flu is a virus and allergies in the environment. Because your son has repeated flu, there is a high possibility that he is allergic to something in the environment. Antibiotics alone would not help. It would be nice to identify what the cause of this allergic reaction is in the environment.
To identify what a possible allergen is, I recommend you try to link up his symptoms with places and activities. For example, if they start after play, suspect the grass, dust, pollen. If it starts when he plays in the home, with the pet, etc. and comes down with symptoms, suspect the dander and allergens from the pets.
Symptoms of allergies would often involve areas exposed directly to the environment. This is why the allergen easily get in contact with the eyes, ears and nostrils and provoke these inflammatory reaction which sum up in the form of a flu.
The best treatment would be to try and relate the onset of his symptoms what activity, place, etc and make the link so that you can identify the cause and eliminate it from the environment. This would be helpful in identifying and eliminating the cause from the environment. In addition to antibiotics that he is already, I would recommend that you add an anti-allergy medication like beanery/Zyrtec to control for this. When we get a good idea of what the possible cause is, we would design strategies to limit exposure to them either through wearing a protective mask, avoiding the area or some other pacific measures depending on the source.
In all, identify the cause, eliminate it and treat should he develop symptoms.

hi dr. ivo ditah I want to thanks for all information. I am worried about his tympanometry test to that shows his middle ear is below normal or distance vision too. they can be caused by flu or flu can be possible because middle ear problem. pls. tell me that test can be wrong result if kids or anyone has flu. because in school they did that test when he has thick secreation and he was blowed his nose hardly. that can possible the wrong reading of sound and pressure in middle ear. pls give me answered for these ques. that bothered me a lot . I will be again thanks to u . last ques is natural and haemopathic medicines has steroid for flu
i Would not recommend herbal medications for this!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The best way to check whether the tympanometry results are valid or not would be to do a control. Talk to the doctors and get the test repeated when he’s symptoms free. If it reports persistent abnormality, then we would have reasons to believe there is something wrong going on and he would need to be revised by an ENT specialist for this.
I would and strongly so discourage this child from being used in experimenting herbal and homeopathic medications that have no proven safety and efficacy.
My immediate approach would be to limit his contact with all those areas that seem to increase his symptoms. This is also mostly likely the lead way to identify the possible allergens causing these symptoms. Drugs would only control as much as possible but eliminating the cause in the environment would be the best approach.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and always available for continued support as needed.
Healthy diet is what I would recommend.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up question.
There is no specific diet that i would recommend at this time. My advice would be to provide him with a healthy and balanced diet. If you realize that after any specific meals he feels bad, reduce these and increase meals that you find friendly.
Like you mention that fish seems to help, I would say whenever possible provide this to him so that it can also serve as a means of controlling his symptoms.
I hope this is guiding enough. However, if there are any specifics that you would want me to touch on, let me know.
