Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination And A PSA Level Of 4.3
I have been counselled to have a PSA test every three months. My last test, a month ago, was 4.3., which is fine.
My question here is how to best manage the symptoms going forward, especially the frequent urination, which can be very inconvenient.
I drink way too much coffee! I am very active physically, practising yoga and working out in the gym three times a week.
I am otherwise apparently healthy!
Any goor advice going forward?
Do not hold back urination and other measures as advised.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
To recapitulate: Male/*59 - wants to know about how to manage the symptoms especially frequent urination which can be very inconvenient - history noted about hematosprmia which got cleared by regulating the behavior about masturbation - MRI and prostate biopsy normal - BPH of the size of a small tangerine - counselled to have PSA every 3 months - too much coffee - and other points noted.
The best possible solutions to manage frequency of urination:
- I hope that the urine tests for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity must have been done; if not please get this done and if there is an infection (one of the reasons of frequency) get treated accordingly.
- Prostate enlargement is very natural with advancing age, hence one has t accept it.
- Holding urine back increases congestion in the prostate to enhance the symptoms of frequency. Hence never hold it back when you get the urge.
- Regular masturbation of 3 to 4 times a week helps to relieve congestion of prostate.
- Some Ayurvedic Products like Bangshil + Fortege may help but for this you need to take a consultation of Ayurvedacharya (Ayurvedic Doctor) and follow his advise. Just for your reference http://www.alarsin.com/enlarged_prostate/Dr_Joseph.htm
This is optional and to be done only if you believe in Ayurveda and have both the Ayurvedacharya and the medicines available in your area/country.
All these measures will definitely help you to cope up with the problems.
Since you do not have prostate cancer at the moment, please stop worrying about cancer at the moment, go on doing regular PSA as advised and just as a routine.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask further relevant questions if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.
