Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination And Foul Smell In Urine

Question: My pee smells weird, not sure if sour or sweet. I have also been very thirsty. This has been going on for several days. I don't think it is a UTI or yeast infection, I have had both. I don't have frequent urination. No pain.

Increased thirst with weird smelling urine can be due Diabetes.

Please get your blood sugar tests on empty stomach (Fasting) and two hours after lunch (Post Prandial) done to rule out Diabetes .

Looking at the history of frequent UTI, getting urine routine microscopy analysis done will also help to rule out recent episode of UTI.

I do have a history of frequent utis. The smell is just different and I don't have the urgency or pain. Usually I also have visible blood in my urine with a uti, that presents right away.

You have recent episode of UTI

Get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like
Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
