Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination While Recovering From UTI
Question: About a month back , had urine infection and frequent urination, was treated by Antibiotics.
Following Reports :
Ultrasound : All OK except Prostate 34.7 gms , significant post void residue
PSA : 1.530
Was adviced Alfoo... took for about 10 days but only mild results.
Still experiencing frequent urination small qty...sometimes takes time before flow.
Please advice

Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.
Treatment of prostate gland enlargement (BPE), isn't to be stopped in ten days.
It takes about two weeks to get some relief from symptoms.
Then you need to take it continuously,till review with Urologist at one month.
If your urine culture showed infection(UTI),the antibiotic course must be completed.
The cause for recurrent UTI is the BPE.
If you need any further clarification,you're welcome and send all the reports.
Drink about ten glasses fluids daily.

1. Continue with Alfoo for about 14 days. ( Is their any precaution to be followed like No Sex and No Ejaculation )
2. Currently no infection, had completed 10 days course of Antibiotic.
3. Should I drink lot of water. This means I will need to urinate very often.

It also will help to prevent recurrent UTI,to some extent.
