Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination

Question: Doctor, my name is XXXX from Bangkok and I am 66 years old. My problem is I get up at night five to six times to go to urine which disturb my sleep. I had been taking Hernal, which helped in free flowing of the urine.
Last week, I went to see a doctor in XXXXXXX and he prescribed Flotral D which according to him has to be taken for life time and Bispec 5 which has to be taken for two months and discontinue. Doctor, since I started taking these medicines one week ago, I am going to urine only three times at night.
My question to you are there any side effects and would you recommend any other medicines. As per the sonography, no need for surgery . Kindly advise. Thanks

Brief Answer:
No problem
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com,
It seems like you are having benign enlargement of the prostate and Also you are symptomatic for that.
BPH is a natural phenomenon like ageing among men. Both the drugs are safe.
Tab Flotral shrinks the prostate size and other one decrease bladder over activity.
No major adverse effects but be cautious about worsening hypertension, eye problems etc.
You can stop the drugs after consulting your urologist once your symptoms subside.
Hope this addresses your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards
