Suggest Treatment For Frozen Shoulder
Question: I fell and injured my right arm in September. Ultrasound shows mild effusion in the proximal biceps tendon sheath and prominent effusion in the subacromial-subdeltoid bursa 3.6 x 2.9 x 1.5cm in size.
I've been told to do physio first and if that doesn't relieve the almost constant pain that I have to then see an orthopedic surgeon to drain the fluid and for cortisone shots. Since I have limited motion with the arm - raising, aducting and abducting motions, I'm wondering if it may not be best to reverse the suggested course of intervention.
Thanks for your expertise and insight.

Brief Answer:
Frozen shoulder takes time to recover
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. I hope you are not diabetic?
This type of injury takes time to heal with more pain at night time, so please have patience.Yes,you are right in reversing the order or rather I would suggest simultaneously treatment involving orthopaedic surgeon, physiotherapist along with minimum 3 injection of Depomedrol.
Exercises remain the most important treatment modality along with tablet. Aleve at bed time.
Hope this suffices and I shall be glad to answer any further query.
