Brief Answer:
Treatment of toenail fungus is with oral Fluconazole

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic,

The nail fungus needs treatment with oral antifungal agent Fluconazole. You will need a prescription for oral Fluconazole. Some individuals need 4-6 months of treatment to completely clear up the infection and nail to grow back.

You can also apply Clotrimazole ointment to the affected nail bed. Keep your toes clean and dry.
It is also important to quit smoking if you do so, as smoking can delay healing.
It is also recommended to avoid alcohol (if at all consume) while on Fluconazole, in order to prevent liver toxicity.
