Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query
I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Your mom is likely to be having osteoarthritic of knee joints. It is confirmed by x ray both knees AP view in standing. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Glucosamine and Diacerine are helpful as these help in preventing degenerative process and repair to some extent. Disturbed gap does not become normal by these but symptoms are relieved to much extend. You can get her vitaminD level. If found low you can take supplements of vitamin D3.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
