Suggest Treatment For Gastric Outlet Obstruction
Question: I had undergone Upper G I endoscopy showing gastric outlet obstruction. Is it mandatory or needed to undergo Barium study or CECT abdomen to re confirm. Is it okay if Gastroenterologist has recommended Endoscopy dilatation or Surgical option on the basis of Endoscopy

Endoscopy alone is enough to confirm gastric outlet obstruction. Barium study or CT are not needed to confirm it.
Also endoscopically further testin should be done to see if the obstruction is due to benign causes or malignancy. If it is due to malignancy, then you may have to undergo CT scan .
If it is benign, then endoscopy findings alone is enough to decide on dilatation or surgery.
