Suggest Treatment For Gastritis And Headache
Question: My Wife has gastritis problem. She gets a splitting headache because of this. What could be the reason and what precautions we can take to avoid it? Please let me know. Thanks.

Rebaparazole is a proton pump inhibitor and is a strong medicine to decrease stomach acid which is often what causes gastritis. it is best taken 30 minutes before a meal and may need to be taken twice a day in some cases.
There are other things she can do to decrease symptoms, but if these are not working she may need to have an upper endoscopy to determine if it is something more serious like an ulcer.
Here are some suggestions that may help with symptoms:
eat smaller meals
do not eat within 3 hours of going to bed at night
avoid acidic foods like coffee and citrus
avoid mints
do not take anti-inflammatory medications like advil or aleve
do not lie down after eating
do not smoke
avoid alcohol
