Suggest Treatment For Gastritis And Vomiting In A Child

Question: My kid had got some gastritis problem from yesterday evening. And has been vomiting since then for whatever intake. Doctor has given injection as well last night but problem still persists . Please suggest.

Please suggest something to control her vomitings.

Please get her reevaluated, may need iv fluids

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Frequent vomiting with decreased oral intake of fluids may lead to dehydration.
In case of vomiting the baby may not tolerate even oral medications and in such cases injection is needed.
The main concern here is vomiting even after injection.
I would request you to revisit your doctor for evaluation as patient may need more injections and iv fluids also if there are signs of dehydration.
