Suggest Treatment For Genital Warts

Question: Over 20 years ago I had been diagnosed with genital warts. The doctor told me to come back the following week because he was out of podophalyn. I made an appointment for the following week but the warts (which they clearly were) got smaller by the day and were completely gone (in just 6 days) before my appointment so he said I didn't need to do anything. About 5 years later I got a bump on my arm about the size of a pencil eraser. It was soft and round, flesh colored with no discernible texture and I still have full feeling in the skin covering it, about 6 months later I noticed one on my penis toward the base on the side. It looked nothing like the genital warts that I had before. It looks exactly like the one on my arm, with all the same characteristics that I mentioned above. It is a single bump also about pencil eraser size. also it doesn't have the cauliflower look of genital warts. I've had these things on my arm and penis for about 15 years now, neither one has changed. They have not gotten bigger or smaller nor have they grown in number (both are just single bumps). I also have a couple of very tiny ones on the back of my hand, also I've had regular sex with my wife for 15 years and she has never had any bumps and all her pap smears have been normal. Just for the sake trying something, I soaked the bump on my penis with apple cider vinegar for about 15 minutes. The skin blanched slightly white but only for a second or 2 after I removed the cotton ball then back to flesh colored (I think it blanched from the pressure on the skin not the vinegar). I experienced no discomfort whatsoever, no burning, no stinging, nothing.
With all that said, what is this this thing? it doesn't seem to fit the XXXXXXX for genital warts.

Brief Answer:
Swelling of arm/penis unlikely to be genital warts

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

Spontaneous remission of genital warts within 6 days without any treatment was quite unusual.
If at all there was a relapse in Genital wart then it should be mostly around the site of inoculation and not at the distant site like that of your arm.
As you said the appearance and consistency of the both swelling at your arm and base of the penis are unlikely to be due to Genital wart. As they are painless, persisting for years, not increasing in size, it could be sebaceous cyst or some other benign neoplasm (lipoma, epidermal cyst or neurofibroma) or cyst.

I tried to make the bump on my penis go away for asthetic purposes with wart remover. It turned white and got a bit swollen, the white washes off in the shower. Does that change the diagnosis? The vinegar test was negative. Is there another way to check it at home? Is the vinegar test pretty accurate?

Brief Answer:
Clinical examination is the best for diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM back.

The clarity of picture sent by you is not up to the mark. It does not look like cyst or or benign tumor and looks like wart. Anyhow a close inspection by a Dermatologist only can reveal the diagnosis. Home diagnosis are not reliable. Get a consultation with a Dermatologist or a STD Specialist and get solved your problem.
