1. Granular Pharyngitis is a chronic inflammation of the normal lymphoid tissue in the posterior wall of the throat. The enlarged lymphoid tissue gives the throat a 'cobblestone' appearance.
2. This is a very common condition. Get a Videolaryngoscopy done. Upload images. It is treated with medication, diet control and it should settle down.
3. Underlying problems such as allergy, post nasal drip and acid reflux must be treated.
4. In some patients a short course of steroids helps.
5. Medication includes antibiotics, anti inflammatory, anti allergic mucolytic medication along with steam inhalation and medicated gargles.
