Suggest Treatment For Groin Pain In An Elderly Person

Question: Hi Doctor. I'm 43 years old. Had an internal scan 6 months ago which was normal. In the last few weeks I feel a sharp pain in my right groin/ ovary area. My period has almost stopped today after only 2 days. I'm worried.
Brief Answer:
Ectopic pregnancy can be there
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Pain in the right groin region and scanty flow in the periods can be due to ectopic pregnancy.
Pain in the groin region can be due to infection or ovarian cyst, if there is no pregnancy.
I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done, if negative then do get a transvaginal ultrasound and urine examination done to confirm the cause and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.

Could it be a sign of perimenapause ? Hormones changes? The fact that I have pain in my ovary groin area and shorter period surely is connected?
Brief Answer:
No, they are not connected
