Suggest Treatment For Grossly Bulky Fibroid Uterus
Question: hi
past few days i was having pain in my abdomen...i consulted a doctor and suggested me to go for - Abdomen Ultrasound Scan
today morning i went for the Abdomen Ultrasound Scan Test ... just few mins back i got the reports
As per the report it says - Grossly bulky fibroid uterus
is it normal and can be treated by taking medicines?
kindly suggest

I have gone through the report you have attached.
The fibroid measures aound 12 cm in one dimension. Such a large fibroid must be removed surgically only.
I am sorry to say that there are no medications which help in reducing the fibroid size or treating it completely.

The decision of whether or not the uterus has to be removed is made depending on the layer of the uterus in which the fibroid exists. Based on the report I believe that uterus may have to be removed. Please discuss with your gynecologist about the same to be sure of.
