Suggest Treatment For Haemorrhoids While On A Steroid Suppository

Calcium dobesilate.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Firstly thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
As per your query, yes, recent trials have shown some drugs to be effective in patients with hemorrhoids. Though not always effective but success rate is almost 50-60%.
First and foremost is calcium dobesilate- according to various trials, a success rate of ~86.21 percent with cessation of bleeding plus lack of severe anitis anoscopically at two weeks were achieved with calcium dobesilate. Dosages are started intially at 600mg twice daily for 21 days followed by 600mg once daily for next 3 month.
A low-fibre diet or inadequate fluid intake can cause constipation, which can contribute to hemorrhoids in two ways it promotes straining on the toilet and it also aggravates the hemorrhoids by producing hard stools that further irritate the swollen veins. Hence use of lactulose syrup is advised daily to make stools thinner and easier to pass.So though not a direct medication yet it may play wonders if followed carefully. Take a lot of Movicol( husk) to add bulk to stools. prune juice can be taken.
Just using steroid will not help use a combination of hydrocortisone with lignocaine(local anaesthetic) and calcium dobesilate(vasoactive) like Ruticool.
I hope this answers your query.
Follow up questions are welcome.
Thanks!
