Suggest Treatment For Hair Fall

Need to add an Oral antiandrogen
Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM
The reason for hair fall in your case seems to be Androgenetic alopecia/Male pattern hair loss, which is genetically predisposed patterned hair loss and also is the most common type of hair loss in males.
It is gradual and can start any time after puberty.
Minoxidil and finasteride are FDA approved for this kind of hair loss.
Minoxidil is a non-specific hair growth promoter. It induces the transition of hair from the resting phase (Telogen) to the growth phase (Anagen). Minoxidil 5% Or 10% solution is the optimum strength, that should be used for hair loss in males.
However, Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), is the main culprit behind miniaturization and hair fall in Androgenetic Alopecia. Oral antiandrogens inhibit the enzyme 5 alpha reductase, which is present in hair follicle and is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone(DHT).
Therefore, apart from Minoxidil, Male pattern hair loss is appropriately managed with an oral anti androgen e.g either Finasteride or Saw palmetto extract.
Hope this helps
