Suggest Treatment For Hairline Fracture Of The Small Toe

Question: Around 1 month back, my little toe got injured (got hit by wall). It got swelled and was paining too much. As on today, pain is still there when I press the toe. Also, there is swelling in this. Please refer to attached image and suggest what problem may be there? What should I do? Should I wait for few more weeks as recovery may take time? Should I take any medicine or any other suggestion?

I have read through your query and have also viewed the attached picture.

From the description you have provided, you seem to have suffered a minor fracture to the toe. The ideal procedure to be done was to take an Xray foot after the injury and to apply a buddy tape over the affected toe for a period of 3-4 weeks till the tenderness resolves.

I would suggest it best for you to consult with a doctor for a proper examination and then apply a immobiliser to help heal the bone faster.

At this point of time, medicines would practically play no role. Adequate amount of rest will be enough after proper banding.
