Brief Answer:
Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome causes myocardial depression and increased pulmonary vascular permeability causing pulmonary edema. Most patients
surviving the first 48 h of hospitalization are extubated (if on ventillatory support as in individual cases) and discharged within a few days with no apparent long-term residua. However myocardial recovery may take time and Cardiac ejection fraction should be normal (normal range 55-70%) before resuming strenuous physical activity. It may take at least 04 weeks for full recovery.

Regards
