Suggest Treatment For Head And Ear Pain

Question: Hello Doc. I have this aching pain on left side of head. Around my ear area. I thought i might hd a wax build up or trapped water. I went to my doctor no wax build up he gave me some antibiotics and some pills for ear draining. The feeling im still having feel like water in y our ear and a pulsing pressure feel.

I read your question carefully and I can understand your concern.

From what you are describing I think you may have a serous otitis, which is an accumulation of fluid behind the tympanic membrane. It will need up to 6 months for the fluid to drain gradually. It's a time-consuming process, so please don't worry. Continue to take the medications which the doctor have recommended for draining the fluid.

Take a painkiller as needed if the pressure/pain is too much.
There is not much to do than just waiting for it to heal. Take some steam inhalation three to four times daily for the time being also.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing the ENT-specialists locally so they can recheck the ear and advise accordingly.
