Suggest Treatment For Head And Ear Pain
Possible Serous Otitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read your question carefully and I can understand your concern.
From what you are describing I think you may have a serous otitis, which is an accumulation of fluid behind the tympanic membrane. It will need up to 6 months for the fluid to drain gradually. It's a time-consuming process, so please don't worry. Continue to take the medications which the doctor have recommended for draining the fluid.
Take a painkiller as needed if the pressure/pain is too much.
There is not much to do than just waiting for it to heal. Take some steam inhalation three to four times daily for the time being also.
If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing the ENT-specialists locally so they can recheck the ear and advise accordingly.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
