Suggest Treatment For Head Injury After A Fall
Question: I just fell in my bathroom and hit the back of my head on a door hinge. My neighbor looked at it, and there is a small horizontal cut, it bled for a few minutes, then stopped. Have been holding cold on it for about 10 minutes. It aches some. My fear is potential brain bleed. I accidentally clicked on the unsubscribe button on one of the emails that have already been sent to my email address. Please disregard this request and give me an answer to my request about my fall and hitting my head. Thank you so much. I'm still worried.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Since you didn't loose consciousness and you have no other symptoms such feeling nauseous or vomiting, any cognitive impairment, you shouldn't worry about any brain damage.
If there is a cut, probably it needs sutures, so, I think you should be seen by a Doctor.
In case you, or others around you notice anything suspicious of neurological involvement ( vomitng, speech and vision impairment, limbs weakness, lethargy), you should get evaluated at your nearest ER.

Thank you so very much for putting my mind at ease and letting me know what to look for to determine if need ER visit. The cut is very minor...less thank 1/2 in in width and has stopped bleeding.
