Suggest Treatment For Headache And Dry Mouth After Spinal Fusion Surgery

Question: I have had a 5 day headache and a dry mouth/constant thirst. There feels like there is a lot of pressure in my head and my sight is blurrier than normal. Im 9 weeks post op from a spinal fusion and still take tramadol (250mg a day down from 400mg a day) . I had a neck massage 2 days ago which helped temporarily.
Brief Answer:
Symptoms suggest raised intracranial pressure.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
The symptoms of headache, feeling of pressure in head, blurring of vision along with history of surgery done for spinal fusion suggests increased intracranial pressure.
Surgeries done on brain and spinal cord can cause an increase in intracranial pressure due to interference with drainage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the ventricles of brain.
I would suggest you to consult your surgeon as soon as possible for assessing the intracranial pressure and if raised, institute appropriate therapy to reduce the pressure.
If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
