Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thank you fora asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would recommend taking clopidogrel instead of aspirin.

This is an anti-platelet agent used to prevent possible acute coronary events (like heart attack). It can be used when aspirin is not tolerated.

Regarding EECP, this is a procedure, usually used to create collateral circulation, which means that it may encourage blood vessels to open small channels that become extra branches. These channels or collaterals may eventually become "natural bypass" vessels to provide blood flow to heart muscle. This contributes to the relief of angina symptoms.

Unfortunately there are not enough data evidence based studies to support its benefits. But you can try this procedure, as it is used to improve the angina symptoms.

It can not substitute aspirin, because it has not an antiplatelet effect.

But you can try it to improve your symptoms. It can reduce the need for nitratres (nitroglycerin) and it is specially used when nitrates are not tolerated or they are not working any more, because it is thought to have similar effect to nitrates (vessel dilation).

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
