Brief Answer:
Further evaluation is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.

I have noted your wife's clinical details. The MRI brain is normal, except for mild narrowing of one of the blood vessels, which may not be significant.

She needs further evaluation to determine the cause of her symptoms:

1. Hemoglobin (Hb) level- a decrease in hemoglobin can cause dizziness,

2. Fasting lipid profile and fasting serum homocysteine- increased levels of cholesterol and homocysteine increase the risk of brain stroke.

3. MR venogram should be done, as the hormonal medicines that she has used may increase the risk of cerebral venous thrombosis (clotting of blood in brain veins).
There is no need to worry, as all these can be treated, once the diagnosis is confirmed.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
I agree all reports are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for sending all the reports. They are within normal limits.

She has features of anxiety and would get better with simple medications. You may remove Merina for a few days.

If symptoms do not get better in a few days, you may show her to a psychiatrist.

Best wishes,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
