Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding
Question: I have multiple fibroids largest measuring 10cm. I suffered PPROM and expulsion of fetus in 24 weeks of pregnancy on 14-01-17. Since the expulsion I am having menstrual flow. LMP : 03-03-17. After six days of heavy menstrual flow I was prescribed tropic twice a day for 5 days. Along with that I am also prescribed Regestrone 3 dose for 7 days ending 14-3-17 and 2 dose for next 14 days. Despite tablets I have spotting. What is the reason for this and when will this be cured?

Surgical removal of fibroids
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, thanks for trusting us with your health concerns
This is all be due to fibroids which are too big definitely so need to be removed
So in my opinion take the step and go ahead
A fibroid of 10 cm will definitely cause all these symptoms and your abortion was also probably because of this
In case you have any other question please feel free to ask

Thanks for the response. Any other natural remedy possible without undergoing surgery?
If surgery is the only remedy, is it advisable to do it after 8 months from now?
Will menstrual bleeding continue till undergoing surgery?

Brief Answer:
Surgery only option
Detailed Answer:
No dear, this bug fibroid will not respond to anything else short of sur
Avoiding it for a few months is fine and of course this erratic spotting can continue till then.
There is another drug ulipristal in market which can shrink the size of fibroids a little and relieve you of mild spotting
you can discuss the same with your gynaecologist as it is costly (rupees 50 per tablet) and a prescription drug.
In general apart from spotting there is no much side effect of delayed surgery
Take care
