Question: My Dad had an Angioplasty done last week. They did it at the groin area. The site looks good but he says that he can feel a little ball where they entered. Could it be hematoma? He is not bleeding but has bruising around the area and on his right hip.

Brief Answer:
After a couple of days, those local signs will disappear.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX!

It seems to be a small hematoma in resorption. Bruising confirms that.

There is nothing to worry about. As far as there is no increasing hematoma volume, no local pain, no increased pulsations, and no lower limb ischemia, everything seems to be OK.

After a couple of days, those small local signs will completely disappear.

Hope to have been helpful!
