Question: i suffer from Hemifacial Spasms is there any treatment for this

Hemifacial Spasm is caused due to abnormal functioning of the facial nerve which supplies the muscle of the face.
The management depends on the group of muscle involved and the severity of spasms.
As of present, there are 2 common modalities of treatment:
1. Surgical decompression of facial nerve- in this, the pressure over the facial nerve is relieved by a minor surgical procedure, resulting in its normal functioning.
2. Botox injection- decreases the level of contraction of muscles and provides relief from spasm.
The decision to choose either of the treatment method depends on the treating Neurologist/ Neurosurgeon, taking into consideration the severity of spasm, age, associated co-morbidities (like Diabetes, Hypertension, etc.) as well considering the risk & side effects associated with them.
As mentioned in your post, you are already being treated by Botox injection.
Kindly continue them under the guidance of your treating Doctor.
