Hepatitis C is a viral disease.Long term treatment with antivirals would be given to treat it.The goal of treatment is to get rid of the hepatitis C in your body. You willl be considered cured if you don't have any virus in your blood 6 months after you stop taking medicine.
Hepatitis C is treated with a combination of peginterferon and ribovarin. Any insurance which cover viral disease is good for you.
A gastroenterologist or internal medicine doctor will treat you.
