On a brand new Omron 3 Series BP Monitor
159/94 immediately after walking around.
152/90 after resting a few minutes.
I took 20 mg of Linisopril at 5:00pm Mon and Tues; and 40mg yesterday.
NOTE: I gained 100 pounds in the last eight months, due to emotional overeating, binge eating and stress eating. I got hurt on the job 2 years ago and subsequently fired; and I'm still fighting with Workers' Comp for proper care and a settlement. I have chronic pain and I'm still unemployed. My savings are gone, my credit card bills are mounting, and a year of back taxes remains unpaid.
In October, when I had insurance and a primary care physician, he said the bp was elevated because of the severe (stress) headaches, not vice verse. He gave me samples of Lisinopril (40 mg per day) and told me to see a chiropractor for the headaches. I stopped a month ago because I can't afford the chiropractor anymore and I ran out of the medicine. Urgent care prescribed enough medicine for two weeks and now I need to find a physician to prescribe more.
Can I take 60 mg of Lisinopril for a couple days until I can get in to see a doctor?
NOTE: Prior to my accident and the onset of all this pain, my BP has always been normal; and sometimes borderline low.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be Tension type headache.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend,
This range of BP is unlikely to cause headache.
It seems you have Tension type/Stress headache which you are just correlating with your BP.
No, do not increase the dose of Lisinopril on your own as this can cause side effects.
At this range of BP, I prefer to use Amlodipine.
You should see your doctor and discuss my opinion with him.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Blood work was done at urgent care facility 4 days ago. My liver enzymes are elevated. One of them is 4 times the normal range and another is six times the normal range. The doctor suggested fatty live disease.
Do you still recommend Amlodipine?
