Suggest Treatment For High BP And Headaches
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.
Headache may be related to high BP.
This depends on whether the BP is well controlled with medications or not.
If well controlled, this usually will not cause headache.
There can be two situations.
If the BP is persistently elevated, this can cause headache and constant heaviness of the head.
On the other hand, if the BP becomes elevated rapidly over a short period of time (hours), this causes acute onset symptoms like headache, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, visual disturbances etc.
Try to get BP reading when he is having headache.
A more detailed history including treatment history, BP log etc and a physical examination can sort out the issue.
Your doctor will guide in this.
Hope I have answered your query. good health.
Wishing for
Thank you.

he has astama problem and he uses seroflo 250 mg
need more evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Sorry for the delay. I was a bit busy.
As he goes for regular followup and the BP is well controlled, his head ache cannot be attributed to hypertension alone.
Another thing is that, antihypertensive drugs themselves can cause some headache.
To suggest any particular diagnosis, we need more elaboration of symptoms and a detailed physical examination.
In my opinion,it is better to have a detailed evaluation including a neurology,ENT and ophthalmology workup (as determined by initial evaluation) and basic investigations like blood routine etc to look for any specific cause for the headache.
Meanwhile, let him avoid physical or mental stress, drink enough fluids, include enough green leafy vegetables and fruits in diet.
Wishing for good health,
Take care.
Thank you.
other than bp he has astama
need more evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
As I told, since his BP is well controlled, we cannot attribute his headache to hypertension alone.
Bronchial asthma also will not cause head ache, if it is well controlled(if not controlled, it can cause CO2 retention leading to headache).
We have to rule out any other causes like ophthalmic/ENT/neurologic causes.
So it will be fine if we can have a detailed evaluation in this regard.your doctor will guide you in this.
Wishing everything to be fine.
Thank you.
