Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

I am sorry to hear that your blood pressure has been elevated. I'm glad that you started your medication again. If you continue to take your medication on a regular basis your blood pressure should come down into a better range.

Otherwise try to maintain a good level of hydration. Also try to decrease any added salt in your diet. Try to avoid stressful situations and get plenty of rest.

Continue to check your blood pressure for the next several days but I do expect that it will improve as you continue to take the medication on a regular basis. If your blood pressure remains elevated after one week please contact your primary care physician for further instructions. also if you experience any symptoms of severe headaches chest pains or shortness of breath you should call your doctor immediately or go to your local emergency room.

Thank you again for sending the question.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
