Suggest Treatment For High BP During The Night
this is not strange...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The arterial blood pressure is not constant. It fluctuates a lot and depends on many factors. For example an individual who measures the blood pressure calm and sitting on a chair for a few minutes will always have a lower measurement than when the same person has headache. Besides pain other factors that commonly come into play are the individual 's psychological status (calm, distressed, excited, etc) and physical activity. The medical history is also important. The body's reaction to various stressful events can be attenuated or enhanced depending on the history and drugs taken.
You haven't mentioned any medical history so I gather you're healthy. In that case a high measurement is an indication for further investigation. The first thing to do is to try some serial good quality measurements morning and evening for a week. Let's define good quality as a measurement using a validated device and a calm patient sitting for at least five minutes, not stressed, without any pains or other interferences. If the mean value of your measurements (most of your measurements) are above 140/90 the hypertension is likely.

hypertension is likely
Detailed Answer:
It seems that you do have many high readings. Provided that these readings were done using a validated device and are technically adequate hypertension is very likely. Since your measurements are not sky high and do not occur every day, you can do a Holter measurement for 24 hours. This is done by wearing a device, that measures your blood pressure every 20-30 minutes during the whole day (24 hours). Then the doctor will analyze the results and determine whether it's hypertension or not.
If hypertension is diagnosed you should receive treatment starting with lifestyle changes. Lifestyle changes include daily physical activity (exercise), balanced diet and a healthy body weight. Salt intake reduction is essential for patients with hypertension.
If the aforementioned changes are not sufficient then drug treatment would be required.
Regarding the low measurements, it's not strange. As I've told you the blood pressure is not constant. There are fluctuations. When we sleep the blood pressure is lower for example. The same applies when we're calm. And the opposite applies when we feel pain, stress, anger, etc.
So in conclusion, I believe that you should first get a diagnosis (hypertension or not) by doing a 24h Holter measurement. Lifestyle changes would be nice to be adopted whether you have hypertension or not. Medicinal treatment would be required if your blood pressure cannot be controlled otherwise.
Kind Regards!
