Suggest Treatment For High BP

I am taking Nexovas O 40 for high BP. BP is now in the range of 130/90 to 120/80. This is after a month of taking this medicine.
In 2009, I had kidney stones and was removed. Since then I drink lot of water, almost 7 liters a day. Since this medicine is based on Calcium, would chances of kidney stones reoccur? What are the percentages?
Please advise
XXXX
Chances of kidney stones to reoccur is very rare.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.
You see , for many years the standard therapy for raised calcium was dietarycalcium restriction. However , recent studies have shown that low calcium diets increase the risk of incident stone formation. perhaps by reducing the amount of calcium in the intestine to bind oxalate.
Do not worry about the increased stone forming potential . It rarely occurs.
I would suggest you to
- Continue to drink water
- Go for regular blood pressure checkups
- Continue with the medications.
Keep in touch with your doctor. He/she can examine you and guide on further management.
I have gone through all your reports.
They are all normal.
Hope this helps.

Should the dosage be reduced now?
XXXX
No the dosage should not be reduced.
Detailed Answer:
The antihypertensive medication dosage titration should be done by your doctor only after recording your blood pressure for a few days.
If it stays way below normal, then the dose can be reduced a bit.
For the time being , continue with it and keep in touch with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
