Thanks for your query.

From your brief description it seems that it maybe flu. Please let me know if the cough is mild or it wakes you up from sleep. Also let me know if there is any sputum. What colour is the sputum?

Meanwhile I suggest the following medicines:
Tablet Crocin 500 mg 3-4 times a day to bring down fever
Syrup Benadryl Cough Formula 5-10 ml 2-3 times a day for 3 days.

Sualin tablets to soothe the throat can be taken.

no there is no sputum.only issue is that the throat seems to have burning effect due to cough.right now I am relying on Zifi 200mg & calpol 650 mg as suggested by our OHP

Hi again

You can take the following:

Calpol 650mg 3-4 times a day. Its same as crocin, just in higher dose.

zifi 200 mg for 3 days. Its an antibiotic.

Syrp Benadryl-DR 5ml 2 times a day to suppress cough. (No need to take benadryl cough formula as its meant for sputum).
Steam inhalation and warm fluids will be helpful.

It will resolve in 3-5 days.
